Kuretake Super Black Ink 60: This ink is BLACK and glides on paper so smooth with a pen and nib. Water Resistant. One possible downside is that it is VERY thick, almost like an acrylic ink. So the nib or brush must be cleaned more frequent as the ink dries.

Higgins Black Magic: Very good ink, black, waterproof.

Bethany likes mechanical pencils, like the ones that you may find on the floor of your math class.

When penciling out comics, we find it beneficial to use one of these Non-Photo Blue pencils. They leave just enough color to follow over with ink.

Jefferson Likes these little Mechanical pencils, or one of the Tuscan Red Prisma Colorase.

Electric: These always seemed silly until I saw Bethany using it on one of her detailed drawings. This tool helps contain your erasing to a small area, and does a powerful job.

It really depends on the project we are working on, but for the most part Bethany will use these ones.

Currently using the iPad Pro 12.9. The size works well and makes it easier for me to work on the go.

Procreate:

This software is one of the easiest to learn and use if you want to draw digitally. It costs about $10 and you have it for LIFE! the updates are free, and game changing.

Sketchboard Pro:

One of the best things to happen since ProCreate! This really helped reduce the stress on my back and shoulder from drawing on the iPad! WELL WORTH the money. 100% would buy again.

Huion:

This brand is much more affordable than a lot of competing brands. It’s thin, lightweight and easy to work with. Something we really like about it is that it can adjust the level of brightness to your needs.

I have never had a problem with it, so nothing negative to say yet. Had it for about 6 months.
